The Bachelor of Education (English and Arabic) program is designed to prepare professionally qualified teachers with strong academic foundations in English and Arabic language studies, supported by sound pedagogical training. The program aims to develop educators who are capable of teaching both languages effectively at secondary school and related educational levels while promoting bilingual competence, intercultural communication, and academic literacy.
Through an integrated curriculum that combines language mastery, educational theory, and practical teaching experience, graduates are equipped with the skills required to communicate effectively in English and Arabic, analyze linguistic and literary texts, and apply appropriate teaching strategies in diverse classroom environments.
The Bachelor of Education (English and Arabic) is a four-year undergraduate degree program, with an optional fifth-year Honours degree awarded by merit. The program is structured progressively, beginning with foundational courses in language skills, linguistics, literature, psychology, and education, and advancing toward specialized subject courses, research methods, and professional teaching practice.
Students study core areas of English and Arabic grammar, phonetics, syntax, linguistics, stylistics, rhetoric, and literature, supported by essential education courses such as philosophy of education, educational psychology, curriculum development, educational technology, assessment and evaluation, and educational administration.
A key component of the program is Teaching Practice, which provides supervised classroom experience and enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in real teaching contexts. Graduates are well prepared for careers in teaching, curriculum development, educational administration, translation-related roles, and further academic study.
