UNU Malakal Campus is ready and shining

Orientation and admission activities are underway at Upper Nile University’s Malakal Campus as the campus prepares to begin diploma programmes through the Center for Human Resource Development.

The opening activities are being coordinated under the leadership of the Centre’s Director, Mr. Isaac Deng Akway Kwathkeir. Students have begun reporting to the campus, completing admission steps and learning about the academic expectations that will guide their studies.

Renovated lecture halls and renewed learning spaces are central to the campus preparations. The improvements are intended to provide a more orderly and welcoming environment for teaching, student support and academic engagement.

A campus serving its region

For Malakal and communities across Upper Nile State, access to university-level diploma study closer to home can reduce barriers created by distance and relocation. It can also create stronger links between teaching and the skills needed by local institutions, businesses and communities.

The University welcomes new students and encourages prospective applicants to use official campus channels for programme, registration and timetable information. The Malakal Campus community is entering a new phase focused on opportunity, professional learning and regional service.

Orientation gives incoming students an early understanding of course expectations, attendance, assessment and the support available on campus. It is also an opportunity to build a shared sense of responsibility for protecting facilities and creating a respectful academic environment.
