The Upper Nile University Academic Staff Association completed a formal handover from the outgoing Executive Office, led by Dr. Acwanyo Adam Thabo, to the newly elected Executive Office headed by Dr. Luciano Paulo Dojack.
The ceremony was conducted in an atmosphere of unity, transparency and mutual respect. Representatives of the council offices from both the former and incoming administrations witnessed the transfer, helping to establish a clear record of institutional continuity.
Orderly leadership transitions are important for any professional association. They preserve organisational memory, clarify responsibility and allow a new team to begin its mandate with an understanding of ongoing priorities and commitments.
Continuity and accountability
The outgoing leadership was recognised for its service and for supporting a responsible transition. The incoming executive was congratulated as it assumed responsibility for representing academic staff and contributing to the welfare and development of the University community.
The handover also reinforces the association’s commitment to good governance. As the new leadership begins its work, its effectiveness will depend on open communication with members, transparent decision-making and constructive engagement with University management.
